Below: I use floribunda roses as well as shrub, English, and tea roses in my bouquets. A single floribunda will not last as long as a tea rose but a stem will have multiple buds that keep opening giving a bouquet a nice long life.
Below: On a farm everybody works. The ducks are an important part of my garden. I sell eggs at my stand when they are laying. They roam the gardens eating bugs and slugs. They also like raspberries. I let them have all the fruit they can reach. Because we also have raccoons the ducks are locked up in this double wire pen at night. The roof is solid.
We have a bald eagle who flies over real low trying to figure out how to get a duck. Our dog, a pomeranian, will herd the ducks back to their pen when he sees the eagle. Life can be savage on the farm.
Below: The cherries ripen a little earlier in the protective sleeves. There is nothing quite like tree ripened fruit and keeping the birds out of my crop makes them extra sweet.
